AI can generate.
Humans still decide what's worth making.
We're a strategy, product, and design consultancy for payments, fintech, and digital businesses, built on the belief that good design still needs a human hand, especially now. The name is the thesis: keeping human creative agency at the center of the creative process.
What we do
Six disciplines, one practice. Strategy and craft held together under one roof so nothing gets lost in a handoff.
Strategy
Product and design strategy for complex, regulated organizations: operating models, platform roadmaps, and the organizational systems that make transformation stick.
Product
End-to-end product leadership, from zero-to-one builds to enterprise platform modernization and legacy-to-cloud transitions.
UX
Research-led experience design built to hold up under scrutiny, with governance and accessibility designed in from the start, not bolted on later.
UI
Interface design and design systems that scale across teams, products, and markets, without losing the craft at the edges.
Research
Applied research into how generative and agentic AI are changing creative and product work, and what organizations should do about it.
Education & Coaching
Hands-on training for product, engineering, and design teams in modern human-centered design and Agile methodologies, so the practice outlasts the engagement.
Where we work
Deep, specific experience in the industries where the stakes and the regulation run highest.
Payments
Card issuing, merchant platforms, and the infrastructure underneath them.
Fintech
Banking platforms, developer ecosystems, and regulated financial products.
AI
Responsible adoption, governance frameworks, and agentic product design.
Digital Transformation
Legacy modernization, cloud migration, and the organizational change that has to go with it.
About the agency
The name is deliberate. We're a creative agency, and we exist to protect human creative agency.
Human Creative Agency is a strategy, product, and design consultancy built for the moment generative and agentic AI arrived in every workflow at once. We help organizations in payments, fintech, and digital businesses move fast on platform and product transformation, without losing the judgment, taste, and accountability that only a person can bring.
We don't think AI replaces good design process. We think it raises the bar for it. The tools that generate more, faster, make a designer's judgment about what's worth making, and what isn't, more valuable, not less.
What we believe
- Designers' skills are more necessary now than before AI, not less.
- AI can't replace good design process or human creative agency. It can only sit inside one.
- Governance and craft aren't in tension. The best work holds both.
- Keeping humans in the loop is a design decision, not a disclaimer.
Domenick Propati
Founder, Human Creative Agency
Dom is a design and digital experience executive with a career spent modernizing large-scale financial platforms, moving legacy infrastructure to API-first, cloud-native, AI-enabled systems without losing the rigor that regulated environments require.
Most recently Global Head of Design for Clover at Fiserv, he built and ran Fiserv's Digital Experience Office, a 300-plus person global organization spanning design, research, and content, and put in place the design systems, standards, and career pathways it needed to move faster. He partnered with Fiserv's Head of AI to establish the company's enterprise AI governance gateway and build its first internal AI chatbot, and has been applying AI in product work since 2017.
He holds an M.F.A. in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design and a B.F.A. with a minor in music, and has taught design at Yale, NYU Tandon, and General Assembly. He's a founding member of the Design Executive Council, a peer network of design leaders from organizations including JPMorgan Chase, U.S. Bank, Target, and Autodesk.
What happens to human creation when AI becomes part of the environment?
Human Creative Agency is also the commercial home for the Human Creation Foundation, a research initiative asking what creativity means once generative systems are a permanent part of how work gets made, discovered, and valued. We start from a pro-human position, not an anti-AI one. Technology has always shaped human creativity. The real question is what role people occupy inside this new environment, and our working mission is simple to state: protect and expand the future of human creation.
Rights, consent, attribution, ownership, and compensation for human creators.
Provenance and disclosure standards that make clear how a creative work actually came to be.
Infrastructure that gives creators real control over rights, licensing, and economic participation.
Direct support for human creative culture: research, grants, education, and the people doing the work.
